I WANT YE!

I really wanted to write up some more stuff about the Apple of Discord but don't have the time! Since I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow and won't have a chance to do this on the 19th, I decided to write a post today for INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY. Now while I love pirates, I'll confess that I enjoy drawing them more than talking like them... Anyways, I created this drawing last night and experimented with some inks and some new brush pens I just got.

Photobucket

Apparently, and this is a shock to me, Pirate Day IS celebrated in Venice during the time when I'll be there according to http://www.talklikeapirate.com:

Venezia - "Finally the Talk Like a Pirate Day has landed in Italy and what shore would have been better than the number one maritime city's? Next to Venice, from September 17th to 22nd, at AeBricole Pub, Grog will flow, challenges will take place among the buccaneers (such as the olive-stone spitting contest) and you must not miss the exclusive pirate menu with its special, the Kraken Fillet. Absolutely free entrance for everyone." - Pub AeBricole, via Martiri della Libertà 381, 30174 Mestre - Venezia ITALY

I really hope I have time to find this place and it's not some creepy dive. Anyways, happy Pirate Day to all of ye scrappy scurvy-infested grog-snarfing parrot-loving sea-dogs! If ye be needing more extra-piratey-goodness, check out my blog post from last year: CLICK HERE YAR!

Paul in Transit - Episode 02

Yup, it happened. After like a month of editing I finally finished this video of Downsview Station. I think I've improved my editing as this episode seems much less slower and more interesting than the last. Anyways folks, here it is:

paul in transit!

A little project my friends and I have recently begun working on. I hope to finish it although now that i rethink the idea, the goal I set is a bit daunting.

It took me a ridiculously long time to edit this, although this sort of stuff is super-fun to do. Anyways, give it a watch and please let me know what you think.

re-dyed, rested and ready to work

Not exactly seasonally appropriate, but this is one of my favourite comics that I've drawn. The idea is pretty gross and absurd, which is probably why I like it so much. I submitted it to my university newspaper a while back and I've since retired (read: somewhat lost interest in) these characters. Anyways, I just recoloured it and, since it inspires the title of my blog, I thought it would be a good comic to post. Oh, and I still do like when the snow melts and this happens.

Television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather.

Happy Groundhog Day. Today we salute the proud rodents that wake up early, give their lives and endured the ridicule of Bill Murray to every year give us hope of an early spring.

Anyways, I've been busy and haven't updated this blog for a long time, so here's a little something I drew up for the occasion:

More to come soon (Hopefully)!
